What is ACC?

If you have sustained an accident or injury you are entitled to submit a claim to the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). An accident must be a sudden incident or event that has happened at a certain time and place. ACC will cover most injuries that have occurred at home, the community, the work place, plus recreational and competitive sports.

ACC will cover the cost of some of your treatment – however, a co-payment is required at every visit. Your Physio will fill in the necessary ACC paperwork for you. We can also refer you for X-ray or ultrasound scans as needed.

Does ACC cover the full cost of treatment?

While ACC contributes to treatment costs, a co-payment is required at each visit. Our website provides up-to-date pricing details for your convenience.

Does my medical insurance, Southern Cross or NIB cover fees?

Depending on your level and scope of policy coverage, some or all of your appointment payments may be reimbursed.

We have access to South Cross and NIB’s online claim portals and can check your coverage at your appointment. In most cases, where coverage is applicable we can process a claim at your visit. Alternatively, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to clarify your level of coverage.

Where’s the nearest parking?

There is off-street parking available around the back of the building. Parking is located on the left at the end of the driveway, please park in the allocated parks. Should no parks be free, there is street parking available in the surrounding area.

What rights do I have at The Urban Physio?
